Unicork is a commercial representation, communication and promotion office for Spanish wines in the USA.

Initially it will operate in the central Atlantic area of the East Coast (DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Texas), but with a vocation to extend to all states.

It follows a global commercial strategy: it tries to generate demand through communication, dissemination and education activities that will be satisfied with a commercial activity aimed at finding importers in their areas of work.

Unicork is registered in the USA and has staff in the territory throughout the year.

The wine market in the US continues to have growing potential. Among other factors we can point out:

Increase in consumers

The number of educated consumers with a taste for European wines continues to increase.

Regular purchase

More and more middle-class consumers are including wine among their regular purchases

Purchasing power

The purchasing power is medium-high.

Spanish Wines

Spanish wines are appreciated and enjoy prestige, although (except for the wines of Rioja and Rías Baixas) they are unknown.

The dollar shows strength against the euro that favors exports.

Economic structure

Due to its economic structure, it is reasonable to think that the US will react sooner to the situation of inflation and recession that the EU market is also suffering.

we think it is a good time to help Spanish wineries export wine to the US. UNICORK is an office of promotion and representation services of small and medium-sized Spanish wineries and operating in the USA (start of activity in March 2023). It is about joining efforts of wineries that produce quality wines, but cannot afford a “country manager” in the US alone.
